Hello and Happy Monday! Now begins another great week for blogging. Or something.
I loved my green outfit for Saint Patrick's Day! So much so, that I wanted to share it with you. Unfortunately, my head is cut off in all of these pictures. I promise that was not intentional!
I actually didn't review the photos I took until the following night, and it turned out that I hated all the ones where my head wasn't cut off. Seriously. I was making the strangest faces in all of them. But I loved the two featured here, so I call it a win!
Before I sign off for this time, can we just discuss the namesake of this post? Back in my college days, Bay Area rap was THE hottest genre for party jams at my university. (Which, this aside reveals exactly which end of the 20-something spectrum I sit on. Not sure how I feel about that, but OK, let's roll with it.) I hadn't thought of this song in literal YEARS, and now I am on a Bay Area rap kick, reliving my college glory (gory) days in my head while rocking out to the hottest beats from 2007-2009.
It's crazy to me that "college" ended eight years ago--it feels like last week! But at the same time, I feel like I have lived five mini-lifetimes over the course of those eight years filled with all kinds of stories to look back on. It's funny how life works like that; how our perspective on its events evolves as we "grow up." I can't say that I hate it. In fact, I am thankful for the memories I carry with me, and even more thankful for the life lessons and growth I've experienced along the way.
Wow. That got really deep really quickly.
On that note--hope you have a wonderful start to the week! I know I will kickstart my week with an extra boost of energy from bumping my rediscovered favorite jams.
