Hey, blog friends!
Today's plan was just to post the outfit in the picture above. But, just as I took this photo, the heavens opened up and it began to rain. So that plan went quickly out the window.
However, I still wanted to pop on here to show you guys the world's easiest braid. Seriously. Now, I am pretty dang useless when it comes to styling hair. I have mastered only a few basic looks that work on my hair and don't take forever, and have stuck to them for years because if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Braids have always intimidated me, and general hair tutorials tend to always leave me frustrated, cranky, and with sore arms. But after trying (and failing miserably) to recreate this hairdo, I decided that I hadn't aggravated myself enough and should look for an easy fishtail braid tutorial.
To my great (and pleasant!) surprise, it worked! I, the girl who is completely useless when it comes to hair, managed to do a fishtail braid!
You can find the tutorial I used here. Seriously, go watch it right now if you have always wanted to do a fishtail braid but are as hair-challenged as I am. It will change your braiding life. She explains the style in three different ways, each of which I found helpful. Like anything, it takes a bit of practice to get the hang of it, but after a few tries, I had my technique down pat. If I can do it, you can do it!
I can't wait to rock this look over the summer, either for days at the beach or parties.
Have you tried this braiding technique? How did it go?
