Sunday Vibes

Hello and Happy Sunday!

Can you believe the weekend is already almost over?  I know I sure can't!

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I have spent my weekend getting my home back in proper working order after being away for a month.  Yesterday, I finally finished--perfect timing for a relaxing Sunday.

One thing I really love about Norway is that Sundays are held sacred: most shops and businesses (with the exception of restaurants, movie theaters, etc) are closed, and people really take the time to unwind and relax.  For some, this might be a recipe for sheer boredom.  But, after both being away and being extremely busy for the last week or so, nothing sounded better to me than sleeping in, lighting all my candles, and making a Sunday breakfast with all the fixings.

After a long week, I can't think of anything better than laying back with a good cup of coffee and doing absolutely nothing for an indefinite period of time.  In fact, over the years I have developed a regular Sunday routine of sorts consisting of a good breakfast, copious amounts of cappuccino, catching up on my favorite blogs and magazines, and then taking a walk around Mosvannet if the weather is being cooperative.  (I also do my laundry on Sundays, but that's not exactly blog-worthy info, now is it?).

Sometimes, I feel like it is actually good to be a bit boring.  I look forward to my lazy Sundays as a chance to reset my body and brain for the new week ahead, particularly as I gear up for a super busy fall season.

Hope you are having as relaxing of a Sunday as I am!
